We live in a world of flux, uncertainty and transformation. The categories, certainties and institutions that have been the foundations of our politics, culture and faith are not simply collapsing but turning—shifting shape, orientation and meaning before our eyes. Against this backdrop of movement, transition and the blurring of boundaries, our debates are becoming more fractured, our discourse more polarised and febrile.Turning World is a podcast created to explore and understand life within this rotation. Our conversations are not constrained by fixed positions or ideological assumptions: it is a space that is comfortable with uncertainty, with ideas that cannot be plotted on a two-dimensional political axis, and with the disorientation that accompanies change. Our impulse is curiosity, openness and a willingness to engage with emerging strands and dissenting opinions. In a world that feels increasingly unmoored—lost in the woods as familiar landmarks rotate out of view—the most promising routes may well be the unmapped and the unexplored. Each episode brings together thoughtful voices from across and beyond politics, culture and faith. The conversations are rigorous but respectful, searching rather than performative. Questions are asked in good faith, not as traps or spectacles, and disagreement is treated as a necessary part of orientation and discovery rather than something to be feared or exploited. If politics feels increasingly polarised, exhausted, or hollow, Turning World is about taking time and making space. To sit with complexity rather than flatten it. To listen as much as argue—long enough to understand what is turning, and where we might be turning next.
